Les Nymphes de Diane
Les Nymphes de Diane is a concert of virtuosic music for two sopranos written in early eighteenth-century France. This elegant program features work by the most accomplished composers of the period, including Bernier, Couperin, D'Anglebert and Marais.
The program was conceived by sopranos Sally Sanford and Brooke Bryant, both specialists in early music. The two have worked together since 1999, when Brooke began taking voice lessons with Sally during her first year at Wellesley College. Through fifteen years of collaboration, their voices have become acutely attuned. Brooke and Sally are collaborating with Rosamund Morley - noted gambist with PARTHENIA and the Waverly Consort - and Alexandra Snyder Dunbar, an accomplished harpsichordist and recent graduate of Juilliard's DMA program.
