Originally from Enid, Oklahoma, Brooklyn-based soprano Brooke Bryant received her PhD in Historical Musicology from the CUNY Graduate Center. Brooke studies with Sally Sanford, with whom she also collaborates as a duet partner. She is founder and Artistic Director of the early music trio Charites and has performed with esteemed ensembles such as Musica Nuova, Company XIV, Sendebar, and Ensemble Chanterelle. She is a professional chorister with the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church Chamber Choir.
In addition to performing early music, Brooke is a singer-songwriter and bassist. She has recorded with Grammy Award-winning guitarist and producer Fran Cathcart and appeared with Rasputina.
Brooke has an active career in nonprofit management, and currently serves as Director of Development for Kaufman Music Center in New York City.
